For the last 20 plus years, Carl has been working in the landscape and horticultural industry. Fresh from uni into corporate landscape management, contracts management, from design to installation. Even had the honour of gaining a few titles and awards in the Lifestyle awards in South Africa as well as Silver Gilt at the Chelsea Flower show in 2008. Carl has been self-employed with his own small business for the past 10 years... not doing too bad actually.

However, a few years back he decided he was missing out on enjoying what he does and not getting enough time to do it… which is ride bikes. So, 3 years ago he took the bold move and got his Level 2 Cycle mechanics. And loved it.

He then started chasing, becoming a professional mechanic. At which point over the last few years, over and above his landscape business he started working every spare time at a busy bike hire and bike shop in Epping as well as taking his own work, alongside which he has developed a little passion for building custom-built bikes as per customer order… Imagination is an amazing thing.

He then decided to go further and got his level 3… big step up from level 2! "Amazing… But the learning will never stop"

Which brings him here, to a potentially great start to a new adventure and a bold future with the guys of Cycle Tech UK…
